Wednesday~ Chili and cornbread (we were supposed to have this today and we were out of kidney beans so we had bean stew instead, I think we will have enough cornbread left so I won't have to make more)

Thursday~ Breakfast casserole, peaches

Friday~ Out

Saturday~ Herbed Rice, pan fried steak, broccoli

Bries Quilt

Well we started quilting on Bries quilt yesterday! It was alot of fun for me, but probably not for my mil. I asked about a million questions and on top of that I'm just simply not very good! Brie didn't help yesterday a movie got put on that was of more interest to her, maybe next time! I was told that with practice I will get better,I have my doubts, but at least I'm trying! Here are some pictures to show you what it looks like!

Also I wanted to thank you guys for leaving your opinion about the boys room. I think that I'm going to leave it alone. The green wall is going to have the beds on it so not much of it will be seen. I also thought I would be more limited w/ bedding if I were to stripe that wall. We all really like the stripes, but the more I think about it I think it's best to leave it alone! Hopefully I'm right!!

What would you do?

We put stripes on one wall of the boy's room. I really like the way it looks. Some people are saying stripe the wall next to it and others are saying leave it alone. So look @ the pictures and tell me your opinions!

Happy Birthday Gabriela

I can't believe that my baby girl is 7 years old. She is my first child and I love her dearly. I can't wait to see who she becomes. She has asked Jesus into her heart, so I can't ask for much more. I pray she continues to follow the Lords leading.

I've been wanting to do this for a while and I never seem to get to it. I know it helps me alot to have a plan, so I'm going to try really hard to stick w/ making one!

M.I.A.

Well I guess I've had good reason to be missing! We've been working more on rooms. We got them painted and Bries is partially organized. It feels good to be done painting,but we still have Lot's of work left to do. This is the color Brie chose. It's similar to periwinkle. She's getting a new quilt for her bed and she has some shelves to keep all her stuff organized. The quilt is being quilted by her Grandma. I will be "helping" (using this word very loosely!) too.

This is the boy's room. It will have one wall w/ stripes (hopefully added soon!). We are waiting for shelves in here and Bunk beds! Zeke is very excited about his bed. I think he will be sleeping on the top bunk, hopefully he does OK. Both kids picked their own colors!

Update!

I called the Dr. today and I was told that the cyst hadn't changed and the Radiologist was not at all concerned. So I'm very thankful. I'm glad that the little guy is healthy and hopefully we will have smooth sailing til he makes his appearance! And no we still haven't decided on a name. We like bible names. I like different ones, Mark favors simple ones. It makes it a challenge. We have talked about Gideon and Silas as 2 possible choices. Please feel free to leave suggestions!!! I hope that you all have a great day.

James 4:4-10

4 You adulterers![a] Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. 5 What do you think the Scriptures mean when they say that the spirit God has placed within us is filled with envy?[b] 6 But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say,
“God opposes the proud but favors the humble.”[c]
7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. 9 Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.

We should be examining ourselves regularly to make sure we aren't "friends" w/ the world. I think the key is farther down Come close to God and God will come close to you. If our walk w/ God is where it should be we should have a better chance of not being in the world. Our focus will be on God. I know for me it's very easy to get distracted w/ the world. I have other things that I do and think yeah I'll spend that time w/ God in a little bit. Well when a little bit comes I get distracted again and my time w/ God falls by the wayside. I hate that I do that, it makes me sick inside to think of what my saviour did for me, how much he loves me, how much I love him and yet I still fail him. I know I'm forgiven and that I'm not perfect, but I also know I need to make more of an effort.

Father~Thank you for the perfect sacrifice you made for us. Help me to be more focused on you. In your name Amen.

Getting Started

Well this has a been a challenging pregnancy. I know I don't have it bad compared to some, but in comparison to my other 3 it's been hard. I'm realizing I can't get as much done as I'd like to in a day I get worn out too easily. I hate admitting that, but it is true! I started today on kid's rooms. Now when I say I started I mean I started!


We have been very blessed to live in a nice house, it's not a huge house though. At times I wish it were huge, and other times(most of the time) I'm very glad it's not any bigger than it is. I have 3 wonderful kids, a little strange ,especially the middle one. Ezekiel.


I know your probably thinking what kind of mother are you, but if you knew him you'd agree w/ me. And just because he's a little unusual doesn't mean I don't love him to pieces cause I do. And I also know that YES he does probably get a lot of his weirdness from me! I can admit it. One thing he doesn't get from me is his brain. He has his dad's brain. They are intelligent beyond belief. Some days I just have to shake my head cause my 4 year old is smarter than I am. (and yeah I know that's not saying much!!) He is also naughty like you wouldn't believe. Now I know boys are different than girls, but WOW. My point w/ all of this (yes I know I'm rambling!) is that he needs things to do or things like this happen.!




In the one picture you can see that someone has taken the border off the wall. Yes that would've been Zeke! I went into his room after rest time and he had taken A LOT of the border off the wall. He just got bored, and I can say he just got punished. The other picture is more for reference of what the border looked like! This was probably a little more than a year ago.

Well today he got to peel again. He helped me take off almost all of what was left. He was a great helper! So now I just have to scrub the walls down and take out some of the stuff and then someday in the next week paint it and get it ready for Gabriela to move into! It's exciting to change things, I can wait to see how the rooms turn out!

Thanks for praying! I didn't find much out, which is what I expected. There is a cyst, but the report has to be read by a radiologist and then it goes to my Dr. So I think it will be next week til I know anything. The tech said he looked healthy and she didn't see much that she would worry about, but she is just a tech, so I guess we will wait and see! Thanks again!

Prayer Request

I had a Dr. appointment today and found out that there's a cyst on the placenta. My Dr. didn't make it sound like it was a big deal, and said the baby sounded really good. I have an ultrasound tomorrow to check it out. So I guess pray that it isn't a big deal. I know that God knows all about it. Thanks! I'll update as I find anything out.

1 What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? 2 You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. 3 And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.

Are we guilty of asking for things w/ the wrong motives? I can only speak for myself and I have to say of course. I time to time struggle w/ looking @ others and wanting what they have. My husband is good @ helping me with this,by pointing out to me that we all have different circumstances. I've been reminded time and again that I need to be thanking God everyday for what he's given me. I don't deserve most of what I have, but I try to remember who gave it to me and that it ALL belongs to him and if he wants it back he can take it.

Father~ Thank you for your blessings. I'm truly amazed by You. Help me to be seeking your will and talking to you on a regular basis. Help me to not think about what I want,but about how I can help others and how I can further your kingdom. In your name Amen.

Normal

It feels pretty nice to be back to a normal schedule. We did school this morning, which I thought was nice. I'm not sure Brie agreed, but she didn't complain about it. We have 13 weeks left for our school year, pretty exciting to think about! Then it will be time to get ready for the baby. Then I will have to prepare for next years school. I will be rudely awakened I'm sure cause I will have 2 students. I'm sure we will make it tho. We will be rearranging bedrooms here within the next few weeks. I will be sure to post pictures of before and afters.(unless blogger won't let me) We just ordered bunk beds on Saturday for the boys. I hope that is an easy transition. Brie and Zeke both went into a real bed between 20-24 months with no problems, so hopefully Titus will too. I will be planning on getting back to James tomorrow. Hope you all had great vacations!
