Rice Recipes
When I buy rice I get it with my mil at Sam's Club. We prefer the Jasmine rice. It has good flavor and it cooks well! We buy a 25# bag and split it up. (I figured up the cost of the rice and it's 15 cents per cup.)
This is our favorite recipe, we have this quite often.
Herbed Rice
1 cup rice (jasmine)
1 1/2 cups water
1 Tbl. Chicken bouillon
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 Tbl. garlic
2Tbl. butter
I mix everything together in a casserole dish, and put the butter on top. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees!
Just a word of advice or warning: I gave this recipe to my friend and she said it didn't turn out, like the rice was crunchy. I've had this happen a few times when it gets over baked waiting for Mark to come home. When I've used different rice (not jasmine) it hasn't turned out as well either. I also don't cover it when I bake it. It's an easy yummy rice. I hope this doesn't scare you from trying it!!!
Fried Rice
If you don't have leftover rice cook rice according to the directions (using chicken broth instead of water) (I try to use around a cup)
Saute in oil carrots, onion, and celery
Add egg and stir, add rice, meat of your choice, and 2 Tbl. soy sauce.
Enjoy!
Do you have any rice recipes your family loves????

What do you think?
In my free time I've been choosing a picture or 2 and then I edit them. So I'm curious what you think? Do any of them work?
The first one is the original.
(In the sepia one I added noise, and I think it was a bit much! The last one I should have done better too, I just figured out I can do this in Adobe, so it was done really quick!)

so my soul pants for you, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?

Psalm 40
5 Many, O LORD my God,
are the wonders you have done.
The things you planned for us
no one can recount to you;
were I to speak and tell of them,
they would be too many to declare.
What an awesome verse!!!!

Loving my Husband Friday

Go visit Shannon to share the positives about you marriage!
Our anniversary is coming up soon, and we've been talking about going away. He has been very adamant that we should go somewhere. (I really want to, but also not sure we should spend the money) I love that he wants to go somewhere and be alone with me for several days!

I'm really struggling..........
Do you know what this little guy is doing????????? He went from this cute tiny helpless baby
rolling from his back to his stomach
a little boy who is starting to sit up. (As you can tell he still has a long way to go til he has it mastered!)

He even was dressed in a 6-9 month outfit today. It's a little long in the legs, but only a little!
(he will be 5 months old next Wednesday)
All of this happened this past week.(except the baby part!!!)
I'M NOT READY. My heart is a little broken, but I'm trying to embrace it!

Pictures
I like this picture of Titus, but I didn't like the background. So I messed with the shadows. It makes it very dark, but it helps with the background! I also did a focal black and white to bring out his green diaper cover! (He's also wearing a green beaded necklace, cause it's a must have for every 2 year old boy!)

Psalm 37
1 Do not fret because of evil men
or be envious of those who do wrong;
2 for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.
3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:
