Well.....

I've been thinking and praying for a while and I've come to a decision. I believe this is what the Lord is leading me to do, but as I'm not as spiritual as I'd like to be I could be wrong! I'm still going to follow through, and if I'm wrong I know He will show me! Are you all curious???

I have decided to take a blogging break. I hope to keep posting at some point, but I may not. I may be done forever...I don't know!! =) Like I said I think the Lord will lead me to what he wants me to do!
If you read my blog, I appreciate it. Thanks!

Because I LOVE pictures I will leave you with some from our hike last week.

This was just to prove that Reuben was there!!

Titus

Titus Jack... oh my I can't imagine life with out you. You bring so much JOY to our family. I can not believe you are 3 already. You love to laugh and have fun. You're a wonderful little boy, I can't wait to see what God has in store for your life. We love you buddy!

For the kid's birthday they get to choose a restaurant to eat at with just hubby and I. TJ choose Dairy Queen. This picture was right after we left from eating. The whole meal he said of this is so yummy!! Titus is obsessed with vehicles. He nonstop is playing trucks and talking about trucks. He loves stuff that hitches up. Driving down the road he spots campers, fork lifts, bob cats, semi's, cranes, backhoes, you get the idea!

On the way to Dairy Queen, we passed a camper place and I said we should see if we could go through some campers, Titus would love that. The one place was closed, but right across from our subdivision there is a camper place. We stopped and went into a few campers with him. He had to go potty so it got cut short, but I think he really enjoyed it!

School's out for summer...and some other random thoughts!

We are a homeschooling family! The past 2 years we've started our school year in July, and for us it has worked really well! That is why SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER! I think we are all really excited for a break! I can't wait to finish spring cleaning, and to get some outdoor projects under way!

This is : national turn off your TV week.

I'm looking forward to this. I'm not sure we've ever done it before... Can you do it? Can you go a whole week with out TV? Since we home school we don't watch a lot anyway, but I'm excited to do away with it for a week. I know we still watch more than we should. I have recently been convicted about the TV. (more on that in a minute) It will be a process for me, but I do think it needs done. Did any of you watch the "family" movie on NBC: Secret of the Mountain? We read about it on American Family Association and heard the program on Focus on the Family about it. I was really excited about it, they gave rave reviews. I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong it was a good movie. It just had some stuff in it, that was a let down to me. If you really want to know my specifics feel free to email me. I was told by my hubby that I'm too critical!!!

On to my TV convictions: I think God has been working on my heart concerning this. I've been thinking a lot about what my kids watch, and how it impacts them. I know that I can't shelter them from everything, but I do think God gave me this job (mom) for a reason. The time they spend on the TV, the things they watch are they God honoring? While listening to the Focus on the Family program they were discussing how to decide what to watch. One of the guests said something that really struck me. We've all heard the WWJD saying, right? He said he thinks about the disciples going to watch something and sitting down with Jesus to watch whatever. What would He tell his disciples about it? What would he tell you? (My kids don't watch anything during prime time.) The hubby and I have a few shows that we really like. I don't feel like any of them would be shows that Jesus would want us to watch. Really their probably isn't anything on prime time that he would want us to watch. Would he care that times have changed and more things are accepted now than when he walked this earth? I feel like he wouldn't care, sin is still sin. I'm probably in the minority, and I'm OK with that. Like I said it will be a process, but I will still be attempting it.
TV is like most everything else, you have to seek God for what your supposed to do. What's right for me doesn't make right for you.

On a lighter note: Exercise/Health ...Well it has been 6 whole weeks, my sil and I are starting in on our 7th week. It is going really well. I'm down a total of 14 pounds. I'm really excited, but I still have so much to go.

Titus

Today my sweet little Titus is 3 years old! I have a special post waiting to be published, but I have some computer issues so it will be coming sometime (hopefully) soon!

I hope to have an update on my fitness progress later this week, so stay tuned to find out how I've done!

This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

Scripture Time

But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
Matthew 18:6

In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.
Matthew 18:14

We have such an important job as parents. It is NOT easy. I wouldn't trade it for any other job though. At times I wish it was easy, but I know the struggles and problems should be used to draw me closer to God. I should be leaning on Him, seeking Him, crying out to Him. There are joys and hardships in parenting. I'm trying to find the joy in all situations...sometimes it seems almost impossible, but I know it is there. I'm so thankful it is there.

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:4

I'm singing in the rain.....

Just singing in the rain. What a glorious feeling.

I'm happy again. I'm laughing at clouds so dark up above.

The sons in my heart, and I'm ready for love. Let the stormy clouds chase everyone from the place.

Come on with the rain, I've a smile on my face.

I walk down the lane

With a happy refrain

Just singing
