Give me some advice!
What do you do when you have something that doesn't really fit into your decor anymore, but it is very special to you? I'm not going to throw it away or anything, but I also hate to just put it away. It's a wall hanging that my mil made for Mark and I when we got married. I really like it, but when we painted the kitchen it just happened to be the wrong color w/ the wall. It doesn't go in any other room either, so I can't just move it. I appreciate any ideas!

I would probably just put it in storage. Maybe start a rubber maid container of things to pass on to the kids. And, in a few years you might redecorate and be able to pull it out again. I would probably but some cedar in with it, too, just to keep it safe. (I have a cedar chest where this kind of stuff usually goes). Of course, you can't really call my house decorated...so my advice probably doesn't really count!
I was actually thinking the same..I put some of things away and keep them if I think I will maybe use them later, or put it in my cedar chest for keepsake reasons.
I guess you put it away...I have done this! It's hard to keep everything up that people have given us. As we get older we run out of space and like you said colors change!
You can always pull it out later if it fits
I suppose you could always hang it in your basement if that suits you better!!!
