I love my husband more and more everyday. Today happens to be his 40th birthday. Happy birthday Mark! I'm so glad that God put us together. I know I'm far from perfect, but thank you for loving me anyway!

Our anniversary is coming up soon, and we've been talking about going away. He has been very adamant that we should go somewhere. (I really want to, but also not sure we should spend the money) I love that he wants to go somewhere and be alone with me for several days!

I love that he takes an interest in me. Whether it's reading my blog, or getting me a Twinkie when he runs out to get a gallon of milk. He cares about me and about the things I do.

My husband is not what you'd call romantic. It used to bother me, but not so much anymore! Thankfully I'm learning that my idea of "romance" isn't always best or even that important. We had been talking about getting an IPOD touch. I told my hubby that maybe we should wait awhile. ( I use swagbucks search engine, which normally goes to Amazon gift cards so I knew we could put that towards it.) Well a little bit later I was sitting down to look something up on the computer and I saw an amazon shopping cart. I looked at my hubby and said what did you do, he just grinned!!! I love that he loves me enough to buy something like that for me and that he surprised me with it. (and of course I love the ipod, I feel cool just like the commercials!!)(and don't burst my bubble!)

I love that he enjoys my cooking. I have some pretty big flops sometimes,but he still encourages me and will eat it anyways. Even when it's not the greatest he'll take it for leftovers. Because I love him I try my hardest to have a yummy healthy meal on the table when he arrives home!

I love that my husband thinks before he speaks. If we are fighting he even prays before he speaks. I won't lie sometimes it angers me (I know hard to believe!) because I want him to just speak and tell me what he's thinking, but I know that in the long run it's much better to stop and think before you speak. This is something I can improve on big time!

I love the way my husband's brain works. He is a genius, but very well rounded. He knows about so many things, he doesn't just specialize in one area. Even though he's so smart (and I'm so not!) he doesn't make me feel dumb. When I've spelled something wrong, or explained something wrong he gently and lovingly corrects me.

One of the many things I love about Mark is watching him interact with our kids. It is such a joy to watch them play and enjoy each other, to hear their laughs and giggles!

Last night I had a pedicure/haircut appointment. I had supper cooked before I left and had started on my dishes. I got the kids their food and Mark walked in the door. It was time for me to leave. The phone rang as I was getting ready to leave so I didn't really even get to tell him goodbye! I like the lady who cuts my hair, but she doesn't go fast at all! When I go for just a hair cut I'm there for an hour. (it's in my town so I don't have a lot of drive time either) Well I knew I'd be gone awhile, but when I got home what I saw I wasn't expecting! Mark did the dishes and ran the dishwasher and had the kids pick up the few toys that were out. It was nice to come home and not have to clean up the kitchen at 9 o'clock! I was very thankful to him!!!

One thing I love about about my husband is how he provides for our family. He provides:

~financially- He has a job that enables us to buy food and clothes and live in our house!

~physically- He's here to hug and kiss us, and play games with us too. (He even plays Polly's w/ Brie!!)

~emotionally- He encourages us and makes time for us. If one of the kid's has a boo-boo he kisses it. He talks to us and asks us questions.

~and spiritually- He prays with us. He reads his bible. He has his thoughts on God and advises us accordingly.

He's a very busy guy, but he makes time for us. We love him dearly.

I love how he's willing to help me get a job done. He doesn't complain or say this is your job I shouldn't have to help. He just helps me with a peaceful heart and attitude. Thank you for always being here to help me out honey!
