Busy,Busy,Busy!

I've had so many things I've wanted to share here. I enjoy blogging, but I have this little problem....

I know he looks really cute, and don't get me wrong he is, but he gives the word busy a whole new take!

I started a post about unit studies, he shut down my computer! I restarted it and sat down to keep working on it, had to get up to clean up a mess, he published it, but it wasn't done, so I deleted it. (because I didn't know how to remove it without deleting it!)

The mess I had to clean up...some people have mice, I have a boy named Reuben!

(I know it's hard to see the hole.)

I could tell that he was in my lazy Susan. I should have gotten up right away, but I didn't. After a few minutes he had bitten a hole in the bag of sugar and had some on the rug. I cleaned it up, shook my rug out and put the bags high up on the counter. I still had a bag of brown sugar under the lazy Susan, well after I sat back down it wasn't 5 more minutes and he had the brown sugar bitten into, all over himself and the rug! (I had forgotten it was down there)

(sorry it's a bad picture!)

He also really likes light switches. He drags any chair he can get a hold of to the nearest light switch. I'm considering bolting the furniture to the floor! =)
He sure is keeping me on my toes! I'm hoping that I will be able to get back to some regular postings soon!

I"ve got the JOY, JOY, JOY, JOY down in my heart..

Let me tell you it is a wonderful thing that I have the JOY!! If I didn't I'm not sure what I would do. I know I haven't been on in a while, but I just had to share some of my JOY of late!

We just put in bamboo flooring, totally loving it! I still don't have everything put back together yet, but it is getting closer! Any of you who have done a project like that know what I'm talking about.

We start our morning out with breakfast and then cleaning and chores! M, F we do 30 minutes, T, W, TH- 20 min. It works well for me and it helps me stay on top of our housework. Then we get right to school.

Last week I told the kids to go start working in the laundry room. They needed to clean up their shoes and some other misc. items. Well they came running to me, saying the floor is all wet. What??? I go check and yeah it's wet. We dried it up and I was praying it was just a fluke. We had our service guy out today, not looking real great for a fluke!! I also learned that you are NOT supposed to soak clothes in your washer. Did you all know that already? I didn't!! =) Of course had I not soaked clothes overnight we wouldn't know that we have a slow leak!

The night before Brie had taken a bath in our tub. I told her she needed to put the toys away. While walking through our bedroom one area was wet. I asked her if she spilled water all over the floor with the toys. She said, no. I assume it has to be why the floor is wet, I check all the rest of the floors expecting to find a trail...nothing. I tried to dry the water out of my room the best I could. Later when Mark got home I walked through the room again and I said what is going on, this is still really wet. Well you know how the washer leaked...it went under the baseboard trim into our bedroom. So now the bedroom is torn up trying to make sure we get no mold or other damage. Are you all jealous of me yet, don't be, just wait it's going to get better!

This morning Zeke was using our bathroom. He came out and got busy with his chores. After 15 minutes or so he went to put his cleaning rag away in the dirty laundry and this is what played out: Z- You do not want to go into your bathroom, it's flooded. Me- WHAT? Z- Repeats it again. I run into the bathroom, all I can say is WOW. He was not exaggerating. I walked on to the floor and it was a good 2-3 inches deep, all over the floor. Not just around the toilet, ALL OVER! In case you're wondering yes I was able to laugh about it.

I'm feeling confident that God is trying to tell us something. I think it has to deal with water, what do you think? Maybe we're supposed to put in a pool! Anyone good at interpretation?

Edit~ I guess I didn't make this known...Zeke clogged the toilet, flushed it and it was running. Because it was running and it was clogged the water had no where to go, but all over my floor! (Because someone asked...no it seemed to be very clean water!) =)

HOLY COW............

Isn't this a cute little webkinz puppy!!!!

I'm almost positive we got this little guy for Brie one year.

UMMMMMMMMM...........................................Wait a second something looks a little off.

My sweet precious 7 year old is a little scissor happy! I'm thinking maybe we should send her to beauty school!!! Tonight as we were getting our trash around I told Brie she needed to get hers out of her room. She said yeah I know I have some hair in there I need to get rid of. I asked her who it was from, I had noticed it while I was sweeping. She said I gave Princess a little hair cut! I said I think you did more than a little haircut. She said she still has some in her bow. Mark said why don't you go get her so we can see her! Well we laughed hysterically when we saw poor Princess! Does anybody else have a future hair stylist on their hands?????

Brie

This morning Brie was taking a little too long to get dressed. (a common thing for her!) When she came out she had a little bit of an attitude, as she was explaining why she was dressed the way she was. She said the blue shirt was too dull with jeans so she had to put the pink one on top! She showed me several times how dull it was!! I thought it was funny.

Keep your eyes on the road!

You may be wondering if I'm giving you driving advice or if I've just lost my mind completely? It's neither one, well maybe the 2nd one a little! We went for a walk last night and on the way back home I was looking ahead at someones house. I saw a for sale sign and was trying to figure out whose house it was that was for sale. The road curves and drops off a bit here......well I'm sure you can figure out what I'm going to say! I fell off the edge and twisted my ankle! I wanted to ask Mark a question about the house, so I yelled Mark, when he turned around I was on the ground! Mark said he was trying to figure out why I was sitting on the ground! Oh I'm still laughing just thinking about it! I really hope no one saw me! I'm sure if anyone did see it they laughed at me! I'm very thankful that I was able to walk home!
So my advice is to keep your eyes on the road! I learned my lesson, don't be nosy!!!!
Whens the last time something embarrassing happened to you? Don't tell me I'm the only clutz!

6-11 servings of grain a day

We just received a box of crackers, on that box (like many other ones) is the food pyramid guide. I think we should eat healthy, but of course we don't always do very good. Gabriela was eating the crackers at lunch and started reading all about the food she should be eating. Well she just came out of rest time to get a snack, she decided to refer to the box to see what she should eat. She came and asked me if she could have 6 pieces of bread!!!!!! I think maybe she needs to have a nutrition class for school this year, what do you think?

Do you need a laugh???

The first 24 hours after my c-section I was on a clear diet. I wasn't very excited about it, but I know they have to do it. They brought my first meal around lunch time, just a few hours after the c-section. It was a hearty meal of jello, a Popsicle, a juice, and 2 mugs of hot water. Well I grabbed one of the mugs and took the lid off, it smelled like coffee. At the time I thought how odd that they would give me coffee, but I hadn't eaten since the night before so needless to say I was hungry. I took a drink and it tasted a little bit like coffee, not real strong, but coffee. Well I drank the whole mug and ate the Popsicle, had a little jello, and started on the second mug of "coffee". This whole time I still thought this is so odd, but I tried to enjoy it! Really it wasn't too bad, it was at least filling up my stomach! I had just a tiny bit left in the bottom of my second mug when I started straighting the tray back up. I came across 2 little packets, one a tea bag, and the other a beef broth packet. Yes folks I drank 2 mugs of hot water! I wasn't even smart enough to figure it out! I did make sure that at supper time I didn't just drink the hot water! I found the packets, so I did learn something!

Things I Love Thursday

What do you love today? Go here and share w/ us we'd love to have you join in!

Well sometimes it's hard to choose something I love, today was pretty easy! I love joking around and having fun. I have an almost 2 year old and he is a huge goof ball. (possibly a chip off the old block) Last night as my pregnancy was taking affect and I didn't want to cook we decided on some leftovers and popcorn. I was working on dishes as everything was being prepared. Brie came over and whispered to me that she was going to put bugs in her dads bowl of popcorn, but don't tell him! Just to clarify not real bugs, we have oodles of plastic bugs that the kids love to play with (except TJ who is normally scared of them!). Well Brie dumped the popcorn in the bowls and buried the bugs in the bowl. She gave Mark his bowl and he right away saw the bugs. He brought it over too me grinning like what is this supposed to be, I laughed. He said well Brie I saw these in here and gave them back to her. She put them in Zeke's bowl, it made him mad and he stormed back to his room. She then put one in TJ's bowl. Well it took him awhile to see the bug, but when he did he screamed and started running away crying. It was quite funny, I wish we would've gotten it on video. It took him about a half an hour before we could convince him the bug was really gone from his bowl, and he would eat!
